The page has more than 6,500 followers. Its 17 August 2019 “giveaway” post has already attracted more than 8,000 comments and 6,000 shares.
“This is one of our best Givewway people are winning the most, win free Samsung S7edge that came with 1terabyte of Data valid for a year, the good news is you can win upto 2 pieces,” it reads.
“50,000 pieces of this phone are to be given to our active customers, you can win more than 2 to your self alone. All you have to do to win this phone is to type ‘SAMSUNG PHONE’ without interrupted.”
‘Disregard the promo’
Africa Check asked Samsung about the “giveaway” in the Facebook post. Samsung Support US told us the Facebook page does not belong to Samsung.
