Man buried inside new BMW? No, photo from Nigerian movie

A Nigerian man buried his father in a brand new BMW, a Facebook post claims – with a photo to prove it.

The photo shows the car being lowered into an oversized grave, with mourners standing around it.

Its caption reads: “A Nigerian man Azubuike buries his father with a brand new BMW worth 32 million naira at Ihiala LGA, Mbosi Anambra state.”

But Facebook users called out the caption as false.

“You guys should not allow Ziggy to mislead you, it happened in Nollywood,” one user said.

Nollywood is Nigeria’s movie industry – the country’s version of Hollywood.

The photo actually comes from the Nollywood movie Social Club. The scene in which the BMW is lowered into the grave can be seen in this YouTube clip.
