Does the flu vaccine increase the risk of catching Covid-19?

The research on which the claim of an increased risk is supposedly based, was done before the discovery of the new coronavirus and Covid-19. 

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases has “strongly recommended” that South Africans get flu shots to prevent flu from putting pressure on the healthcare system while the country is dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak.
