How do adult literacy rates across Africa compare?

The African countries with the highest literacy rates include Seychelles (96%), Equatorial Guinea (94%) and South Africa (90%). Countries with notably low literacy rates include Burkina Faso (34%), Chad (27%) and Mali (31%).
