How many local government areas must a candidate win to become governor of a state in Nigeria?

Before anyone is announced as a governor, he/she must have gained at least a quarter of the votes cast in at least two-thirds of the available local government areas (LGAs) in the state. For example, if there are 30 local governments in a state, the candidate must have won 25% of legal votes cast in 20 LGAs.
