How much money do non-residents of Zimbabwe send home in a year?

In the year 2021, diaspora remittances – or funds sent home by Zimbabwe’s non-resident population – amounted to US$5.4 million, a 58% increase from the previous year of $6.3 million. The increase is mainly due to the liberalisation of the use of free funds in the country and improved channelling of remittances through formal channels.
