How much wheat does Kenya produce and consume?

Wheat production fell by 13% from 349,000 tonnes in 2021 to 271,000 tonnes in 2022, according to the Economic Survey 2023.

The country consumed 2.1 million tonnes of wheat as food. A total of 11 tonnes were used as seed and 122 tonnes had “other” uses. Another 40 tonnes were lost.
