What is the latest news about teacher training colleges in Uganda?

Uganda received a grant from Belgium to finance the Teacher Training Education (TTE) Project. 

The first phase of the project between 2011-2016 focused on improving the teaching and practice-oriented learning environment of the Business, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) teachers/instructors, health tutors and secondary school teachers. It was implemented in the National Instructors College Abilonino and Health Tutors College Mulago.

The second phase started in 2017 and was set to end by 2021. Its specific aim was to improve secondary education in the National Teachers Colleges. It was implemented in among others the national teachers colleges of Kabale, Kaliro, Mubende, Muni, Unyama and in partner secondary schools surrounding the colleges.
