What is the literacy rate in Kenya?

UNESCO defines literacy as the “percentage of the population ages 15 and older that can, with understanding, both read and write a short simple statement on everyday life”.

UNESCO data indicates that Kenya’s literacy rate stood at 81.5% in 2018.
