United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) – Corruption in Nigeria: patterns and trends

UNODC adopts an evidence-based approach to quantify the extent and describe the patterns of corruption at the country level. Information on the experience of corruption is gathered through sample surveys on different targets - general population, business sector, civil servants - following strict methodological standards. This study, published in 2019, explores the patterns, experiences and manifestations of corruption in Nigeria.

The Anambra State Debt Sustainability Analysis report analyzes trends and patterns of Anambra State’s public finances during the period 2015-2019, and evaluates the debt sustainability in 2020- 2029 (the long-term). The analysis highlights recent trends in revenue, expenditure, and public debt, and the related policies adopted by the State. A debt sustainability assessment is conducted, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, in order to evaluate the prospective performance of the State’s public finances.

The World Prison Brief (WPB) is a unique database that provides free access to information about prison systems throughout the world. Country information is updated on a monthly basis, using data largely derived from governmental or other official sources. Each country page gives information on:

  • total prison populations, and prison population rates per 100,000 of the national population
  • the use of imprisonment for women, juveniles and foreign nationals
  • the extent of pre-trial/remand imprisonment
  • prison overcrowding, as indicated by occupancy levels
  • news and official reports on prison conditions
  • details of local organisations and other resources
  • department or ministry responsible for prisons, with contact information
