The total number of literate persons in a given age group, expressed as a percentage of the total population in that age group. The dataset is provided by the UNESCO Institute for Statistics based on 2014 literacy data for Kenya.

This survey, compiled by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, includes pupil completion rates and primary to secondary transition rates. The report is from 2017 and available in PDF.

The booklet provides information on the number of schools, enrolment by gender and level of education, special needs learners, orphans and vulnerable children, basic education cycle schooling profile, gross enrolment and net enrolment rates. The Kenyan Land Act of 2012 is an Act of Parliament rationalising land laws to provide for the sustainable administration of land-based resources. The National Council for Law Reporting is a useful depository for Kenyan legislative documents.

This Act provides a legal framework on land registration which includes management of public land and conversion of land.

The Progress in International Reading Literacy Study provides comparative data on student learning in reading. It is conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement. It has assessed reading comprehension in over 60 countries since 2001.

The National Universities Commission's (NUC) website lists federal, state and private universities as well as the year each institution was established. The NUC registers, accredits and regulates universities and the website provides general project updates on tertiary education in Nigeria.

A geographic information system (GIS) dataset of agrarian land use in Nigeria. The data includes an ArcGIS layer for styling as there are 23 different filters. It downloads directly as a zipped folder. The data is hosted on GeoNetwork, an open-source platform from the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), that provides geographically referenced thematic information.
