How many Nigerian women die of cervical cancer each year?

Nigeria has a population of 60.9 million women aged 15 years and older who are at risk of developing cervical cancer. Current estimates indicate that 12,075 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer and 7,968 will die from the disease every year. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women in Nigeria.
