What is Nigeria’s national debt?

Nigeria's Total Debt Stock (Foreign & Domestic), as of 30th September 2020 stood at N32.22 trillion (US$84.57 billion), a 3.9% increase when compared with N31.01 trillion (US$85.9 billion) recorded in June 2020. Domestic debt stock includes federal government bonds, treasury bills and promissory notes. Foreign debt is made up of multilateral loans from the World Bank and the African Development Bank, and bilateral loans from China, France, Japan, India and Germany.
