Which African countries generate the most electricity from nuclear?

Currently, South Africa is the only African country generating electricity from nuclear. It produced 12.2 billion kWh (6% of the total energy grid) in 2021, according to the World Nuclear Association.

The following are listed as "emerging nuclear countries" on the association's website, based on previous indications by their governments to plan for or commit to nuclear electricity generation: Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Namibia.
